Administrator update and role:

Andy Pope attended the ESFA conference to discuss the administrator role.  The role in NY is split between Andy and Kev Davies.  There are lots of variations of the role across the 41/45 counties that took the funding for the administrator.

Kev is working on the data collection across NY which is creating a better more positive picture of the football offer across our county, with the communication being more accurate to the ESFA.

Andy is working on funding and is hope to secure £2k of company sponsorship this week, with a possible second £4k in the next couple of weeks.  GLL are a company that deal with a similar funding to justgiving pages.  We set the target at £4k and once we get to £2k they match fund to double.  Andy is going to confirm all these details and make public asap.

  • Continued at £40 per school charged to areas.  This will be sent out by RDA as per last year.
  • Current method of collection works well and thanks to District secretaries for organising.

Agreed £40

RDA to resend affiliation requests to Dist Secs

County Trials

U16 – Saturday 16th September @ Thirsk School 10am-12.30pm

U18 – Wednesday 20th September @ Easingwold School 9.30am arrival – 10am start – 1.30pm finish.

  • U16 trials will take place as before with the current U15 squad being invited and then further nominations from schools to RDA for this trial.
  • U18 trials to continue on a Wednesday considering the turn out this year was better than the Saturday trial.  All districts to send a side with District Secretaries.

We still need to support students in attending these trials in particular the U18 age group as this has been the most difficult team to select in recent years.

District secretaries to organise U18 sides for the Wednesday trial

RDA to email out reminders of dates in September

RDA to confirm Easingwold with Jonathan Marwood

  1. Dave Prothero informed us that NCSFA will require a nomination for Vice-chairman from North Yorkshire.  Dave Prothero was proposed by RDA and seconded by John Wharton.  Dave accepted and will be nominated at the NCSFA AGM on Monday.
  2. District grants were discussed considering the now reduced ESFA grant to NYCSFA. It was agreed that we would evenly split the whole £1000 grant between the four districts and that the secretary will make all districts clear this will be the final district grant from NYCSFA.
